AMD demos 45 nm processors
AMD has shown visitors samples of 45 nm Opteron with Shanghai core and the 45 Phenom with Teneb at the CeBIT tradeshow. They are expected to be release second half of 2008…

AGP on it’s last legs…
According to the company officials, nVidia will no longer support the AGP bus. ATI on the other hand will continue to support it.

AMD launches 780 chipset series
AMD has released the 780 series of chipsets. The AMD 780 replaces AMD 690G and will go up against Intel’s G35 and NVIDIA’s GeForce 8200 chipset. It seems to be a winner for AMD with dual monitor and hybrid crossfire support with lower power consumption
